We Benefit Children The Water Buffalo Club Inc., DBA We Benefit Children is a Los Angeles based nonprofit founded in 1989. Big Kids Helping Little Kids-that's our motto!

We are dedicated to fostering the well-being of underserved and at-risk youth throughout the greater Los Angeles. The WBC provides support to nonprofit organizations in LA that work to improve the lives of children.

WBC provided a back to school cooking class for kids and their families at 20th St Elementary School earlier this month. Over 100 participants learned about the importance of pasta in Italy, how to make homemade pasta dough, how to make homemade pesto and then got to enjoy all sorts of delicious pasta and sauces. Huge thanks to our volunteers, Chef Gino and the Staff and Families from 20th St Elementary School. All students got to keep their own aprons, dough scrapers, pasta boards and the pasta recipe so they would be set up for future cooking success! Chef Gino also dedicated a copy of his cookbook to the school for its library.

WBC’s Grant Portal is open! Get your application in by June 30, 2026.

We Benefit Children awards numerous grants to organizations supporting children in need. Children’s charities throughout Los Angeles County whose annual budget does not exceed $500,000 and are in need of “Silver Bullet” capital items are eligible to apply.

Through our vetting process, we have the opportunity to meet the people behind these charities. Their dedication and commitment inspires us to do more to support our mission to improve the lives of children in need. Since 1989 we’ve provided more than 300 charities with funds to help purchase much needed capital items.

We are always looking for charities to partner with; if you know of any charities that meet our qualifications, please direct them to us or have them email us.
