Amanda Reuther and Kelly Sullivan, Co-Presidents of the EUSD Special Education Parent Council, were honored with the Collaborative Parents Award by the North Coastal Consortium for Special Education, representing 14 districts.
In their nomination, Amanda and Kelly were recognized for leading a district-wide organization that creates inclusive, community-based events for students of all abilities, while centering the needs of families of children with disabilities. Their work has helped model more inclusive practices across schools and districts, including initiatives like Inclusion in Action.
In their acceptance, they shared that this work has never been about individuals, but about what is possible when families, educators, and districts come together with a shared purpose.
This recognition reflects a community that continues to show up for every child.

En su nominación, Amanda y Kelly fueron reconocidas por liderar una organización a nivel distrito que crea eventos inclusivos para estudiantes de todas las habilidades, centrando las necesidades de las familias de niños con discapacidades.
