Coastal Dragons Rugby The Encinitas Dragons Rugby Club is based in Encinitas California and we have teams u8-u18 for boys and girls. After a fantastic 09/10 inaugural season.

The Coastal Dragons Youth Rugby Club is based in Encinitas Ca. We are please our membership has doubled to over 120 players with four age grades starting with U8, U10, U12's and u14. We will also be playing Summer 7's in June & July. Come and Join us!!

🏉 SUMMER 7s START THIS SATURDAY 🐉

The Dragons are heading to the BACK BAY 7s Tournament this Saturday, May 30th for the kickoff to the Summer 7s season. Fast games, long days, plenty of rugby and a whole lot of sideline energy incoming. ☀️

📍 IMPORTANT ADDRESS
Estancia High School
2323 Placentia Ave.
Costa Mesa, CA 92727

🚗 Please note: ALL parking is at Estancia High School.
Some fields are approximately a 10-minute walk, so allow extra time for arrival.

📍 Field Locations
• U14C / GU15 / BU16 → Parsons Main Field
• U10C → Parsons U10 Field
• U14C / U12C → Estancia Main Field
• U12C / U10C → Estancia U10/U12 Field

⏰ ARRIVAL TIME in TeamSnap will be different from GAME TIME, so please double check schedules carefully.

☀️ Summer tournament days can be long, so hydration, recovery, and nutrition between matches will be key.

Additional Notes:
• Players should wear Dragons shorts, socks & vests
• Bring mouthguards, cleats, sunscreen, hats & extra fluids
• Spectators must remain behind roped areas
• No animals, va**ng, smoking, or alcohol permitted on site

Round up from Saturday rugby day with 4 clubs at ECP. U10’s, U12’s & U14’s took the field for multiple 14 minute games.

These days are so important. Not just for game time, but for connection. A chance for new players to start understanding the flow of rugby, build confidence, find their voice on the field and bond with teammates through every tackle, pass and try.

It was also great seeing new parents on the sideline learning the game, asking questions and becoming part of the rugby community alongside the players.

Thank you to every club, coach, volunteer and family who brought the energy.

Next week is the real deal… match season kicks off Saturday 🏉🔥

Where new players become teammates and game day becomes pure fun.

🏉 Saturday Scrimmage – ECP Field #2

This Saturday is all about one thing: FUN, informal game time for every player on the field.

With a high number of new and developing athletes across both clubs, the focus is simple — maximum involvement, learning through play, and enjoying every moment rather than structure or results.

🕘 Format
• U10, U12 & U14 teams
• Each team will play 3 games
• Each game = 2 x 7-minute halves

🔁 Teams
• Mixed teams to maximise playing time
• Coaches will have a chance to assess players in game settings
• No check-in required

🕒 Schedule
• 9:00am – Set up (U10)
• 10:00am–2:00pm – Games running
• 2:00pm – Pack down (U12/U14)

Week 7 is here and we’re back on home turf 💥🏉

We kick things off bright and early with our Girls U15 bringing the energy in a full morning of 7s action — fast feet, quick hands, and four games to light up the field 🔥

Then we roll straight into the afternoon as our Boys U16 take on Temecula at 1:30pm 💪

You know the drill…
Show up in our colours 🎨
Bring the noise from the sideline 📣
Back our players from first whistle to last 🙌

📍 ECP is the place to be Field 2
⏰ Girls start at 8am (4 games!)
⏰ Boys kick off at 1:30pm
