April Elliott Kent - Expanding the New Moon’s Promise: The Lunar Phase Family Cycle

The New Moon phase is a moment for fresh starts and new beginnings, when we set intentions for the coming lunar month. But how much can we really accomplish within a 28-day lunar cycle? Do we have to confine our lunar wishes to those modest enough to be fulfilled in a single month?

Enter the Lunar Phase Family Cycle, which expands the symbolism and promise of each New Moon over a three-year period in which a First Quarter, Full, and Last Quarter Moon fall near the same degree. Each New Moon carries more weight and potential than a single lunar month can hold, and a story that needs much more time to unfold.

April Elliott Kent is a professional astrologer and author living in San Diego, California. She is the author of Astrological Transits (Fair Winds Press, 2015), The Essential Guide to Practical Astrology (Alpha/Penguin, 2011), and Star Guide to Weddings (Llewellyn, 2008). A popular lecturer, April has served on the faculties of UAC (2012, 2018, 2026), SOTA (2016), ISAR (2016), Making of the One Thing (2018, New Zealand), and Beyond the Borders (2020).

Elisabeth Grace: What Goes Around, Comes Around: The Logic of Repeating Transits

Planets move in cycles that repeat over time. Stick around long enough, and you’ll experience it yourself. In this presentation, you’ll improve your forecasting skills by appreciating how the transits of outer planets — and other repeating patterns — operate in the horoscope. Elisabeth Grace earned her B.A in Philosophy from Wellesley College. She is an ISAR CAP certified consulting astrologer, a School of Traditional Astrology (STA) certified horary practitioner, and a highest-honors graduate of Noel Tyl’s rigorous master’s course for professional astrologers. She studied medical astrology with Lee Lehman (STA). Freelancing at WNBC and CNBC inspired her weekly forecast – Why Now News — about the astonishing synchronicity of astrology and the news, now in its 18th year. Teaches mundane astrology at Kepler College. Penned the “Charts in the News” column for Mountain Astrologer. Stand-up comedy experience comes in handy at public speaking engagements.

Loda Shaw - The Value of Relocation Astrology — Relocating Your Natal Chart

When life prompts a move, whether through career, family, relationship changes, or financial need, astrology offers powerful guidance. Most practitioners begin with astro-mapping, but that is only the first step.

This lecture explores the technique of relocating the natal chart to a new geographic location. We will examine what remains constant, the planets in their natal signs and degrees, and what fundamentally shifts: the house cusps, the Ascendant, and the Midheaven, all recalculated for the new latitude and longitude.

We will discuss how this restructuring reframes planetary emphasis across the twelve houses, why certain life areas become activated or quieted in a new location, and how dormant aspects of personality can surface in a different environment.

By the end of this lecture, attendees will understand why relocation astrology provides a fuller, more personal picture than astro-mapping alone, revealing the opportunities, challenges, and version of themselves most likely to emerge in their new home.
