After A LOT of soul searching and thinking about the past 10 years of service and the impact of countless volunteers helping to remove over 41,000 pounds of trash from San Diego & Orange County waterways, I’ve come to a decision that it is time for H2O Trash Patrol to evolve. I’m taking the organization in a new direction. One that is fulfilling and beneficial to everyone in a new way. The baseline messaging will remain, but the How is changing. To be announced when the new concept is launched.
That being said, the cleanups as they have been are ending and all of the SUPs, cleanup gear, & the beasty van are up for sale. Like the phoenix, it’s going down to ashes to be born again with a new flavor for life and caretaking of the waters.
I’m considering doing a final SUP sale and cleanup to commemorate the ending of an era. I’ll let you know if I can pull that off with the holidays so close at hand.
I love all the work that we’ve all done with H2O, the people we’ve reached, and the amazingly fun times and laughter we’ve had. The opportunities that came about, the people who have been involved, the H2O Crew, the movement that was created. All of it. I am damn proud!
I’m excited to see the next chapter for H2O will be just as amazing, if not, amazing-er! With all of my heart and an immense amount of gratitude, thank you to all of the volunteers and supporters of H2O Trash Patrol over the years. Without you the vision would have been left on Agua Hedionda Lagoon where it was born. To all of the paddleboarding enthusiasts and beach goers, if you see it, pick it up. Every piece of trash removed matters. And get ready for the next chapter of H2O Trash Patrol. Hmmm...Maybe we’ll call it H2O 2.0 🤔
With every piece of my heart, much love to you all!
