Congratulations Cotulla HS Class of 2025 !
The Jasper Triplitt Memorial Organization was formed in 2021 in part to honor Cotulla High School seniors entering the next academic phase of their lives through scholarships to trade schools, community colleges and universities.
Why I honor the graduates with a belt buckle.
By the time Jasper graduated Cotulla HS in 2019 he had amassed a collection of 87 trophy belt buckles from his many years of showing livestock through 4H and FFA. That may seem like a large number to some but every single one of them tells a story about an accomplishment. The definition of trophy is : any memento or memorial of an achievement. Trophies tell a story of where you were, what obstacles you overcame, goals you set and achieved for yourself not to mention the occasional what you might do differently next time to be better. As graduates you all can look back at all your mementos in life too; starting with your little league tee ball trophies from preK all the way to your final success you’ll achieve this week, your graduation. Every single milestone thus far marks a measurable achievement in your life. I’ve made it a practice to mark the JT scholarships with a trophy, as a memento of this significant achievement.
Today we are proud to honor 10 Cotulla High School graduates with a 2025 Jasper W. Triplitt Memorial Organization scholarship recipient belt buckle and most importantly a $1500 scholarship for each student.
Congratulations Graduates 🎓 Michael Garcia Jr., Thomas Garcia III, Ryane Sanchez, Michael Vargas, Andrew Velasquez, Joel Yanez, Emily Velasquez, Lacey Guzman, Reychel Narviaz and Araceli Valles.
Thank you to everyone who has supported this endeavor, it means so much to myself and our community.
