🏀 Girls Youth Basketball is almost here! 🏀

We are still looking for a volunteer Scoreboard Keeper to help us out during our upcoming games.

Recreation is looking for someone who either knows how to operate the scoreboard at the Elementary School or is willing to learn. No experience is necessary—we just need someone willing to help!

📅 Game Dates & Times:

September 17th: 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
September 29th: 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
October 12th: 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM

If you are available for any or all of these dates and would like to volunteer, please reach out to Cameron County Recreation.

Your help would be greatly appreciated and would help us make sure our Girls Youth Basketball program runs smoothly! ❤️🏀

🇺🇸 Happy Labor Day from Cameron County Recreation! 🇺🇸

The Cameron County Recreation building and Gameroom will be closed today to give our amazing staff a well-deserved Labor Day break!

I want to take this opportunity to give a very special THANK YOU to our Gameroom Attendants, Ellen and Ally. ❤️

Thank you not only for the countless hours you put into your jobs, but for the time, heart, and care you put into making the Gameroom such a special place for our community—especially for our youth.

You do so much more than simply watch over our kids. You are a listening ear when they need someone to talk to, a peanut butter and jelly sandwich when they are hungry, and a hug when they need a little extra comfort. You are there for our youth in ways that go far beyond what is ever expected of you.

You also support me and Cameron County Recreation without hesitation. You work side by side with me, help bring new ideas to life, and always jump in wherever you are needed. I truly could not ask for a better team.

Ellen and Ally, you are truly amazing, and I am so proud of the team we have! Thank you for everything you do for our community and, most importantly, for our kids. ❤️

Now, go enjoy your day—you've definitely earned it! 🥰

Happy Labor Day, ladies! 🇺🇸❤️
