Happy Monday! What a busy weekend for us here at the Emporia KS American Legion Post 5 Emporia KS American Legion Riders Post 5
1st we started off with our 2nd Saturday breakfast, we served 382! I'm amazed we have such support from the community, thank you! Congressman Derek Schmidt even attended this month.
2nd: Also on Saturday the American Legion Riders escorted Sgt. Jay Bently Moreland and Staff Sgt. William Wright Moreland, two brothers from Bushong, Kansas, who were killed in action during World War II home.
3rd: On Sunday we held our District 4th homecoming to celebrate incoming and continuing leaders of the district. We had 60 plus attend for a wonderful time to collaborate with our Legion Family.

These events would not be possible without the support of our community and of course the help, time and efforts of our members. Thank you for your service and all you do to make your Post successful!
