A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came out to Jones Park this morning for our 40th Annual Easter Egg Hunt! 🐣🌷

It was such a joy to see so many families, smiling faces, and excited kids filling the park. Events like this are only possible because of the incredible support from our community, and our volunteers we truly couldn’t do it without you.

We’re grateful to be part of such a wonderful community and to continue this tradition for 40 years. We hope everyone had a fantastic time, and we’re already looking forward to next year!

Have you put up your Christmas tree yet? Do you prefer live or artificial trees? If you are looking for a live tree, the Optimist Tree Lot will be open from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday in the Guion's Showcase parking lot. They have quite a few good-looking trees.

🎙Today, we’re at the Lyon County Fairgrounds for the Wreaths Across America drive through fundraiser. Come say hi, donate, or sign up to volunteer.
🎙Tonight at 7:00 pm, we’re broadcasting live from the Holidaze and Toy Drive at the Emporia Zoo.
🎙Thursday morning, we’ll be at Gravel City Roasters for the Southwick House Turkey Day Dash. Launch is at 7:30 am. We will have a condensed news day, Happy Thanksgiving!
🛍 Friday, we’re back on air with our regular news schedule during your Black Friday shopping (or lounging) day.

🌲 A Huge Thank-You to the Emporia High School Wrestling Program! 🤼‍♂️

We want to give a big shout-out to the Emporia High School wrestling team for showing up in such impressive numbers to help us unload Christmas trees on Saturday morning! Your energy, teamwork, and positive attitudes made all the difference.

Our annual Christmas Tree Lot has become a cherished community tradition, and we simply couldn’t keep it going without your continued support year after year. Thank you for lifting—literally and figuratively—our efforts and our spirits!

The Flint Hills Optimist Club Christmas Tree Lot opens Friday, November 28th at 10 AM! We’re located in the Guion's Furniture parking lot at 2023 West 6th Street in Emporia.

🌲 Fresh-Cut Trees Available:
Choose from a beautiful selection of premium varieties, including:

• Canadian Balsam
• Fraser Fir
• White Pine
• Scotch Pine
• We also offer wreaths and garland by the foot to complete your holiday decor.

Monday - Friday: 5:30 PM - 8:00 PM
Saturday: 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM
