On Saturday, April 18th our NWTF Chaper sponsored a youth Hunter Education course in Emporia. There were 9 youth participants and they all passed the course. They all had a blast and took home several prizes too. One youth was even drawn to go on a guided turkey hunt this spring that was generously donated by one of our Chapter members. Thanks to all the instructors and volunteers who helped to make this effort a success. Also, we owe a special thanks to the landowners who allowed us to utilize their property and facilities to host the course. Our Chapter plans to continue sponsoring a local Hunter Education course annually moving forward. Information about future courses will be posted to our page when it becomes available.

Please mark your calendars for our annual NWTF banquet next summer on July 18, 2026. We will be holding our 2026 banquet at the Sauder Center in Madison. Our intent going forward will be to move the banquet around periodically to expose new people to the NWTF. We'll be posting more details about the 2026 banquet when they become available next spring.

Our annual NWTF banquet is coming up this Friday night (July 18) at 5:30 at the Emporia Masonic Lodge. There is still time to get banquet tickets, early bird raffle tickets, and gun tables. Just click on the below link to see all the ticket options and purchase your tickets online. The tickets include a catered meal from the Olpe Chicken House and an annual NWTF membership. You'll also get the chance to participate in games, raffles, and a live auction. Attendees will be going home with at least 11 fi****ms and all the items in the 2025 NWTF Core package. Come out and join us this Friday for a good time and help support wildlife conservation and our hunting heritage.

Come join us on Friday, July 18 at 5:30 for the Flint Hills Gobblers NWTF Hunting Heritage Banquet at the Emporia Masonic Lodge (424 Merchant St.). It will be an evening of fun raising money to support the conservation of the wild turkey and the preservation of our hunting heritage. There will be games, raffles, and a live auction. We will be auctioning/raffling the 2025 NWTF banquet package, many donated items, and several fi****ms. The meal will be catered by the Olpe Chicken House.
