So I was asked to share some background about the rescue. So here goes.. Hello everyone my name is Debbie and I am 50 years old. I started running rescue in September of 2011 and became 501c3 in March of 2022. I am a disabled mother of 3 and a grandmother of 2. I suffer from severe PTSD do to the lose of my father when I was 7 years old. On May 10, 1986 (not long after my 10th Birthday) I had a spontaneous retinal detachment that has left me completely blind in my left eye (it is a glass eye). I continue to fight everyday for the sight I have. My love and passion for animals led me to caring for 100's if not 1000's of cats and other animals as well. Since September of 2011 I have been taking kitties of the streets who have been thrown out like trash or born on the street ( I prevent them from ever making it to a shelter). I provide all vet care, food, water, toys, treats, a safe place to live and all the love they will take (which is a lot). However, being disabled I cannot do this alone, I hope, pray and rely on donations to keep the kitties safe and to ensure the best quality of life possible.
I have raised my youngest son to be an animal lover. His name is Jordan and he runs this rescue with me. He is also my caregiver due to all my health issues. He is 20 years old. On September 30, 2024 he purchased his 1st home that came with a huge bonus for the kitties we save. The house came with a 22,800 square foot 2-story 4 car detached garage (which we are trying to convert to a Sanctuary) where the kitties are living the life.
We appreciate every single person who donates, volunteers, and supports us in anyway they can.
The love of animals and being the voice of the voiceless is my FULL time job (literally). We are and will continue to do all we can to help reduce the over population of cats and to prevent the untimely deaths of those on the streets.
All lives matter and the voiceless need a voice so they have 2 very loud voices here with us.
If there is anything else you would like to know about us please do not hesitate to ask. We have nothing to hide. It took me years to accept my disability and being blind in one eye but it has strengthened my will to care for the kitties.
We do have some Special needs kitties here in rescue that are beating the odds just like me.
We have Champ who has a grade 6 heart murmur, Maddie who also has a grade 6 heart murmur. Mango who is blind in one eye (he is my twin, lol).
Every kitty we have right now has been spayed/neutered (with the exception of Champ who cannot be fixed, Cheesecake who just came in December 20, 24 and Nolan), all are in need of updated vaccines at this time (due to lack of funds their vaccines are behind), SNAP tested (clean bill of health). They are all living their best life and we are making sure they will continue to do just that LIVE.
Hope this helps those who wanted some background. I was reluctant to do this because this rescue is not about the 2 of us but about the kitties who we help and that need our help.

When someone hurts an animal, it stirs something deep in us. The instinct to protect the vulnerable is strong, and anger can feel justified when cruelty goes unpunished. It’s natural to want accountability that feels visible and meaningful.

But real justice must be careful and responsible. Public shaming can create harm, escalate situations, and sometimes even target the wrong people. Strong laws, proper investiga
tion, and consistent enforcement are what truly protect animals in the long run.

What matters most is that cruelty is taken seriously and addressed firmly through the legal system. Protecting animals requires accountability, but it also requires fairness, due process, and solutions that prevent future harm.

Thank you Time Fades

Did you get a new cat? Here is a guideline for your new friend to adapt.

The 3-3-3 rule is a vital guideline for transitioning a new cat, outlining that they typically need 3 days to decompress, 3 weeks to learn the routine, and 3 months to feel fully at home. This framework helps owners manage expectations and reduce stress, allowing the cat to gradually build trust, confidence, and comfort in their new environment.
