EIN # 47-1857785 My love for horses began as a child but it wasn't until I was an adult that I was finally able to have a horse of my own. Due to injuries sustained in an auto accident in 1999 I could no longer ride. It was then I started researching mini's and the rest is history... I was hooked. In 2003 my first 4 mini's came into my life and my adventures in the wonderful world of the miniature

horse began. In 2004 I became a member of the Blue Water Miniature Horse Club (BWMHC) where over the years I have made some amazing friends and many wonderful memories. During my time with the BWMHC I was very actively involved serving on several committees and enjoyed every minute of it. I was the newsletter editor for 8 years (2004-2011). I also served on the board of directors as treasurer for 4 years (2008-2011). From 2007-2010 the club's fun shows were held at my farm...these are some of my greatest memories, spending time with amazing friends both old and new and our wonderful little horses. In 2009 I became involved with Chance's Miniature Horse Rescue (CMHR), first as a member then as a director at large. I became a foster home for this nationwide rescue in 2010 and since then I have fostered several horses. In May of 2010 I was asked to be treasurer for the rescue and I gladly accepted. As my passion for rescue grew I decided to make some changes and devote more of myself to making a difference in the lives of these little horses. So in December of 2011 I resigned my positions of treasurer and newsletter editor with the BWMHC to follow my heart which has led me on a amazing journey. I believe my time with both the BWMHC and CMHR along with the encouragement and support of my wonderful family and friends has prepared me to follow another dream....opening my own rescue! On September 17, 2014, Saving Grace Miniature Horse Rescue went from a dream I never thought possible to a reality!

We need your help!

Our generous $500 matching gift in memory of Scout is still waiting to be fully matched, but we're falling short.

So far, you've helped raise $213, which means we have $287 left to raise before the match is complete.

This is one of those opportunities where every dollar has twice the impact. Instead of raising $500, together we can turn it into $1,000 to help cover recent hay and veterinary care expenses for the minis.

Whether you can give $5, $10, $25, or simply share this post, it truly makes a difference. It takes a village, and this rescue has the most incredible village anyone could ask for.

What do minis dream about? 💭

Chester's dream? An endless mountain of hay.

Summer's? She's off living her best unicorn life somewhere over the rainbow. 🦄🌈

Some dreams are fueled by food... others by imagination. ❤️

Whose dream do you think wins? 😆

Happy $5 Friday!

We're making progress on our $500 matching donation, but we're not quite halfway to our goal yet.

This special match is being given in memory of Scout, the beloved companion of one of our dear friends. What a beautiful way to honor a life that was so deeply loved while helping the miniature horses here at Saving Grace.

Every dollar donated today will be matched, doubling your impact until we reach the full $500.

The funds will help cover the remaining cost of our 100 bales of hay along with Pete's recent x-rays, which were needed to help determine the cause of his neck issues.

If everyone who sees this post gave just $5 for $5 Friday, we'd reach our goal in no time. Whether it's $5, $10, or any amount you're able to give, every donation makes a difference—and every matched dollar goes twice as far.

Let's see if we can get a little closer to that goal today while honoring Scout's memory. ❤️

Some gifts mean even more because of the love behind them. ❤️

Today, a very special friend has offered to match every donation, dollar for dollar, up to $500 in loving memory of her beloved Scout.

Scout may no longer be by her side, but through this incredible act of kindness, his memory will continue to help horses in need.

This matching gift will help us finish covering the cost of our 100-bale hay fundraiser while also helping with Pete's recent veterinary visit for x-rays of his neck to help figure out what's causing the discomfort he's been experiencing.

Every dollar you give will be doubled until we reach the full $500 match, meaning your gift will go twice as far for the minis who depend on us.

💚 $5 becomes $10.
💚 $25 becomes $50.
💚 $50 becomes $100.

If you've been thinking about making a donation, today is the perfect day.

TRIVIA TUESDAY ANSWER 💜

If you guessed AUGGIE, you were right!

Auggie joined the Saving Grace family in 2018 after we were alerted to a Craigslist ad where someone was looking to trade him for a milking goat. Instead, he found his way to the rescue, where he's been safe and loved ever since.

At 19 years old, Auggie is one of our sanctuary residents. He has kyphosis, a condition that causes a curvature of the spine, and receives the care he needs to stay comfortable and happy.

Auggie was the third dwarf miniature horse to arrive at Saving Grace. Since then, he's become a familiar face around the rescue and is loved by everyone who meets him.

Thanks to everyone who joined us for this week's Trivia Tuesday! We hope you'll be back next week for another chance to test your Saving Grace knowledge. 🩵

It's Trivia Tuesday!

Can you guess who I am?

💙 I arrived at Saving Grace in 2018 after we were alerted to a Craigslist ad.

🐐 Believe it or not, someone wanted to trade me for a milking goat!

🩻 I have a condition called kyphosis, which gives my back a unique appearance.

❤️ I was the third dwarf miniature horse to call Saving Grace home.

🎂 Today I'm 19 years old and living my best sanctuary life.

Who am I? 🤔

Drop your guess in the comments, and we'll reveal the answer tomorrow along with more of my rescue story!

We're kicking off our annual Buy a Bale fundraiser to help us purchase 100 bales of premium 2nd cutting alfalfa mix for our dwarf minis. This hay is an important part of their diet, and we like to have it safely stacked in the barn well before winter.

We are incredibly fortunate to have an amazing hay supplier who provides this premium hay for just $6.50 per bale. Quality hay at that price is hard to come by, and we're so thankful for their continued support.

If you'd like to sponsor a bale (or two!), we'd be so grateful. Every bale purchased brings us one step closer to our goal of 100 bales ($650) And if donating isn't possible right now, sharing this post is another wonderful way to help.

Thank you, as always, for helping us keep our little herd happy, healthy, and well-fed. ❤️🐴
