We still have more to post from our latest trip. ❤️

High winds almost changed our plans, but we got it done!

We were blessed with a quick window to experience the breathtaking views from Sugarloaf Mountain and stand before the Christ the Redeemer statue just minutes before weather forced them to close. Even with a hurried timeline, being there was unforgettable.

Our group spent the day exploring the incredible colors of the Escadaria Selarón, sharing a traditional Brazilian churrascaria lunch together, and ending the day on the sand. We even squeezed in a pick-up beach soccer game with some locals—fair to say we brought our best effort to represent team USA! ⚽🇺🇸🇧🇷

We teamed up with Fundación Solidaridad to distribute wheelchairs in rural communities in Paraguay. They work tirelessly to deliver over 1,500 wheelchairs annually (donated by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints), and seeing their impact firsthand was inspiring.

The need for mobility in these areas is still so high, but we’re committed to working together to bring more chairs—and more independence—to Paraguay in the future. ❤️ Maybe you’ll be on the next trip! 😉✈️

Last week we got to experience one of the most incredible places on Earth: Iguazú Falls! ❤️

So many waterfalls. So many different angles! Every viewpoint felt completely different and beautiful.

We also walked through a bird park and got so close to some incredible birds 🦜, followed by a quick drive-by tour of the Itaipu Dam — the largest producer of hydroelectric power in South America. 😄

THIS is exactly what we offer on VolunTour trips.

On Sunday, we were able to deliver food packets to 30 families in a community where so many people are working hard just to get by.

It’s always a humbling experience, but getting to sit and talk with people is what stays with you. We spent some time with a truly kind man who recently lost his leg to diabetes, and honestly, his optimism and strength touched our whole team. ❤️❤️❤️

Friday gave us sunshine.☀️ It gave us a great start on the emergency housing.

Saturday gave us rain….Lots of it.

We were completely soaked, but no one stopped working. By the end of the day, all four emergency homes were finished and presented to the families.

A little rain is nothing compared to what these families have been through. We’re so grateful they now have a safe place to call home. ❤️

Many hands make light work! 💪 We made it to Paraguay and ready to work hard! (And play hard)

Our team of 28 volunteers from the States joined forces with over a dozen local volunteers in Paraguay today to get our service project underway. From leveling and setting foundations for 4 emergency houses to securing the floors, we’re officially ready to raise the walls tomorrow morning.

What a successful day! 🇵🇾❤️

Meet Violet. ❤️

A few months ago, a tragic house fire changed everything for Violet and her family in Knysna, South Africa.

Thanks to your generosity, we were able to raise $1,000 before our recent trip and help put a roof back over her family’s heads. We even had the opportunity to work alongside local community members to help install much of it ourselves.

But the work isn’t finished.

We’re now trying to raise $6,500 to complete the repairs and restore her kitchen and bathrooms so she and her family—including her four-year-old grandson—can have a safe place to call home again.

Every donation, no matter the size, brings us one step closer.

Good morning everyone!
VolunTour has a group of volunteers going to Paraguay, Argentina, and Brazil in a few weeks to do some wonderful service. In Paraguay they are trying to build an English library for children of all ages, including educational or story books. They are also always in need of donated clothing of any kind.

If you have any of these items to donate, it would be so appreciated and put to great use. If you can get donations to Kelsey or Brit by Sunday the 26th, we will get them to the volunteers to take down there with them. Thank you!!!
