The Seed Farm is cultivating the next generation of farmers. We also operate an agricultural business incubator on our 42-acre site. Grow your future!

Since 2010, The Seed Farm has trained new farmers in all aspects of running an agricultural business, from business and crop planning to equipment use, production techniques and marketing. Through our ag incubator, beginning farmers can launch their businesses with access to The Seed Farm's equipment, land, and infrastructure. Incubator farmers produce and market their own products while receiving guidance and technical support from Seed Farm staff and experienced local farm mentors. Lizzy Beller started Bubbly Hills Farm to grow flowers here at The Seed Farm. It all started with one flower on a hill and blossomed into a full fledged flower farm! These blooms do so much — by brightening an otherwise, average, week with a Bubbly Hills weekly subscription — and even adding a “Wow!” factor to folks’ best day ever, their weddings.

Thank you to everyone who joined us at The Seed Farm for our 5th annual Fall Plant Sale! 🌱🍂🪴

Along with shopping for fall-ready plants, community members got their hands dirty during two workshops, learning how to braid hardneck garlic and build their own rain barrels.

We’re grateful to everyone who shopped, learned, volunteered, and spent the weekend with us! Special thanks to The Seed Farm’s incubator farmers for the care they bring to growing a stronger, more resilient local food system.
