Our focus has been on cats who are unsocialized and unable to be handled... the cats who need TNR because traditional adoption simply isn't an option for them. ๐ซค
But have you ever stopped to wonder ๐ค where all of these cats came from in the first place?
The truth is, many of them started out as someoneโs friendly pet. They were lost. Abandoned. Left behind. ๐ Or simply allowed to reproduce because they weren't spayed or neutered.
๐๐ฝ And that is where we have an opportunity to make a difference.
If every cat and kitten were spayed or neutered before becoming part of a family, we could prevent countless unwanted litters from ever being born. Fewer unwanted kittens means fewer cats growing up without homes, fewer cats ending up on the streets, and ultimately fewer unfriendly cats needing TNR.
TNR is an incredibly important part of the solution, but ๐ฝ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐๐ฒ๐ป๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป is just as important.
Every time you spay or neuter a cat, you're not only changing that cat's future. You may also be preventing generations of cats from ever having to face life without a home.
