Meet our Vice President, Matt!

Matt has been an alto saxophonist in the Emigsville Band since 2005 and was elected Vice President in 2016. He grew up in Manchester and attended Northeastern High School before earning his degree at Penn State University. He currently resides in North York.

As Vice President, Matt has been a critical component of helping the band set-up and tear-down at each gig. With two decades of experience with the band, Matt has overseen the transformation of the band over the years to where it is today.

The Emigsville Band keeps growing. And that tells you something: Community music is alive and strong in York County.

Take a look at the difference that 3 years can make.

York has carried this musical legacy since the 1800s. That doesn’t happen by accident. It happens because people show up, play hard, and keep the tradition moving forward!

Congratulations to these student musicians—some of whom play with us! 😊

The PMEA District 7 Band Festival is in the books, and we have FIVE student musicians moving on to participate in the Region V Band Festival next month. Congratulations to (left to right) Gabe Gottloeb, Finleigh Stambaugh, Ryan Beschler, John Barley, and Dashiell Bedell. These outstanding students earned their spots through a very competitive audition process, and we are so proud of each of them.
