Black history is U.S. history. Today and every day, we must resist efforts to erase the past, and teach our children the true story of our nation.

Happy Pride! It should go without saying: Children and adults of all sexual orientations and gender identities are equally deserving of love and support. Within the adoption community, we must keep working together to defend the health, happiness, and human rights of LGBTQ+ children and parents.

Script for Calls and Voice Mails to Mia Bonta, Chair of Assembly Health Committee
(916) 319-2018

Hello,

My name is ________ and I am a constituent (if applicable) (and an adoptee/birth parent/adopted parent - if applicable). I’m calling to urge Chair Bonta to vote aye in the Health Committee on June 16th in support of SB 381 as written.

Adult California born adoptees must be given unrestricted access to their original birth certificate. This is a matter of inclusivity, equal rights, and civil rights, as it will restore the same rights to adoptees as all other California-born individuals enjoy.

Thank you!
