We had a 4-H meeting this afternoon at the Embarrass Town Hall. After a short meeting, we made bird treats-smearing peanut butter on pine cones and rolling them in birdseed. Coming up next month, we will help the township put out ice candles at the Embarrass cemetery for the Ice Candle Celebration. That will be held on December 13th.

Our theme for our 4-H meeting this afternoon was pumpkins. We made two types of pumpkin bars. One with real pumpkin and homemade frosting and the other with canned pumpkin and store-bought frosting. Comparing the two in color and taste gave us the choice to pick our favorite. It was mixed results but they were both good especially on this fall day. 🎃

Come join us for our 1st meeting of the new 4-H year! Tomorrow, Sunday, October 13th at the Embarrass Town Hall starting at 4 pm. We will have a short meeting and then have activities and food centered around pumpkins. The town hall is located at 7503 Levander Road. All are welcome!

Although we didn’t have the greatest weather, a few of our 4H club members got together this evening to plant the flowers at the Nelimark Farm just in time for the Sauna Days in Embarrass, Minnesota this weekend! (Not everyone was eager for their photo to be posted so we took photos of the flowers and one eager member who kept wanting to plant more!)

Tomorrow, Sunday February 11th, we will have our monthly 4-H meeting at the Embarrass Town Hall starting at 4 pm. After a short business meeting, we will be decorating cookies as a fun Valentine activity. All are welcome!

Update: We will not be meeting today due to schedule conflicts.

Our next 4-H meeting will be tomorrow, Sunday, September 17th at Heritage Park & Campground in Embarrass. Meet at the pavilion at 2:30 and then we will hike the trail. Bring a snack to share. We will discuss our year ahead and take nominations for officers afterwards. Everyone is welcome!
