Our staff and board enjoyed spending their Wednesday at Philanthropy Ohio in Columbus!

We cheered Cindy on as she spoke on the “Connecting Local Priorities to Broader Frameworks for Impact” panel about how Sustainable Development Goals can be used, adapted, and structured within our local communities.

We are grateful for the team at Philanthropy Ohio who continue to bring foundations from all corners of our state to learn, grow, and connect!

$6️⃣1️⃣0️⃣,8️⃣5️⃣3️⃣ raised for 1️⃣1️⃣2️⃣ nonprofits!

We are thrilled to announce our grand total of $610,853 raised during this year's Connect to a Cause efforts — Thank YOU to our dedicated community members, nonprofit staffs and boards, and each and every donor for your contributions in making this total possible.

Because of you, our Lorain County nonprofit sector can make more possible for the families, children, educators, citizens, and our future leaders of tomorrow, from health and human services to arts and culture and beyond!

Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU! We look forward to continuing the momentum into Connect to a Cause 2027 on Thursday, Sept. 16!

Happy Good Neighbor Day!

As we reflect on the impact of Connect to a Cause, we're reminded that a stronger neighbor creates a stronger neighborhood. Every act of kindness, volunteer hour, donation, and connection helps build a more caring community for all.

We're feeling especially grateful today as our team celebrates the 12 Days of Staff Gratitude at the CLFC office. Thank you to our staff, supporters, donors, and neighbors for making our community stronger every day.

Today, we invite you to thank a good neighbor in your life: a coworker, a family member you don't chat with enough, or a neighbor who brings a smile to your face each time you pass!

Calling all Lorain County based high school students!

We are looking for high school students, grades 9 through 12, to join The Community Foundation of Lorain County Youth Fund this school year!

High school students are often asked, "What do you want to be one day?" Our Youth Fund students instead get to answer the question, "What are you most passionate about TODAY and how can you make a difference in that space now?"

The Youth Fund meets this Sunday at the Community Foundation office from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and all are welcome to join! High school students interested in joining will learn about what it takes to be a local changemaker, become a grant maker to organizations and causes most meaningful to them, and build a network with other young professionals.

Interested in joining? Contact our Scholarship Coordinator and Youth Fund liaison Margaret Vogel at [email protected] to get signed up today! We hope to see as many high school changemakers in the room as possible during Sunday's Youth Fund meeting! Learn more today: https://www.peoplewhocare.org/affiliate-funds/yf
