Metro Central Ohio Unit of the NAACP #3183 was approved by the National NAACP Board in 2021 after the merger of the Elyria NAACP and Oberlin NAACP. The mission of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) is to ensure the political, educational, social, and economic equality of rights of all persons and to eliminate race-based discrimination.
