Our teens participated in the NAACP youth summit on Saturday. So much good and practical information was shared. From making wise decisions to the need for community involvement to how to tie a tie to recognizing abuse in a relationship and so much more.

Space is Limited!

Working with teens is not for the faint of heart but let me tell you, it’s one of the most rewarding things you can do. Many of the teens in this program are so different that they wouldn’t have even been friends or possibly even talked to each other outside of this program. Yesterday they volunteered together at The Cultural Fair of a local elementary school and did a phenomenal job. I sat there in awe as I reflected on the growth that I have seen in them, especially the ones that others may have written off or given up on. I am so grateful for this team and these young people. May we continue to make a difference in their lives. We will be enrolling for the summer soon so if you know of a young person who will be entering high school or who already is in high school inbox us and we will talk.
