Our LOVC Adult Program participants have been falling into creativity this season! 🍁🎨

With guidance from Adult Program Instructor Sarrah Pierce, participants recently transformed everyday materials into works of art. From upcycling toilet paper rolls into bird feeders to turning dried pumpkin seeds into colorful autumn leaves for a beautiful fall tree craft, creativity was in full bloom!

These projects celebrate creativity, individuality, and the joy of making something unique. Every creation tells its own story, and that's what makes them so special. ❤️

🍂 Check out their amazing fall masterpieces!

What a woolly wonderful day! 🐻🍂

On Sunday, Murray Ridge Center had an amazing time participating in the Vermilion Woollybear Parade! From waving to parade-goers to sharing smiles along the route, our participants and staff enjoyed being part of one of Ohio's favorite fall traditions.

Thank you to everyone who cheered us on and helped make the day so special. We love opportunities to celebrate inclusion, community, and the incredible people who make Murray Ridge Center such a great place to be!

Many thanks to our Oberlin Opportunity and Vocational Center staff that created our lovely Woollybear mascot.

🎉☀️ End of Summer Bash 2026! ☀️🎉

The Lorain Opportunity & Vocational Center celebrated the end of summer in style at our annual picnic on September 2!

The day was filled with fun, laughter, and great food. Consumers enjoyed a variety of activities, including face painting, BINGO, Plinko, and everyone's favorite, the dunking booth, where they had a blast trying to dunk their favorite staff members! 💦😄

A special thank you to Penni Shuster for treating everyone to delicious cotton candy, and to Mark McIlwaine for grilling up juicy cheeseburgers that were enjoyed by all. 🍔🍭

As tradition continues, the afternoon ended with plenty of dancing, smiles, and laughter. It was the perfect way to celebrate the end of summer with friends and coworkers.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make our End of Summer Bash such a fun and memorable day. We appreciate all who contributed to making this event so special! ❤️

🍕🎉 Congratulations to our Summer 2026 PEERS® graduates!

Over 20 sessions, participants at LOVC and OOVC worked hard to build social skills, strengthen friendships, and gain confidence through the adapted Program for the Education and Enrichment of Relational Skills (PEERS®).

Led by Jennifer Hakko, Speech Language Pathologist, the group explored topics such as conversation skills, friendship building, conflict resolution, social etiquette, and online safety.

The summer concluded with a pizza party at LOVC, bringing everyone together to celebrate their achievements. We are so proud of all their hard work and growth!
