Thank you to everyone that was able to attend the 51st Michigan FFA Alumni & Friends Annual Meeting. It was a great success!

Our auctions combined raised over $7000 for our scholarships that assist both higher education and give students an opportunity to attend the Washington Leadership Conference. We are so very thankful for those members that also donated items towards the auction. Another highlight of the auction is that we had a member of the New Lothrop FFA Chapter serve as our auctioneer for the night, highlighting the talent our programs can help foster and guide.

We also recognized award winners of the Floyd Beneker Hall of Fame Award, the Outstanding Alumni Chapter Award, the Michigan FFA Alumni & Friends All-Star Awards, the WLC Scholarship recipients were recognized, followed by the CANR/Vet Med Scholarship recipients.

We hope to see you all again next year at the 52nd Michigan FFA Alumni & Friends Annual Meeting.

It is one of the best times of the year, Regionals for Leadership Development Events. Whether you are a public speaker or you gravitate towards the job interview contest, there are valuable lessons and skills to gain.

One of our Council members, Tate Forbush, shares that his favorite contest is Parliamentary Procedure, where he has offered many years of helping to chair the contest. Pictured below is Tate with his children receiving Parli Pro and Conduct of meeting trophies at the 2009 State Convention.

What contest do you most enjoy?
