FALL 2022
SEASON RECAP -- shared from TVSD October 2022 Newsletter
Boys Cross Country finished their regular season 18-1.
They placed 2nd as a team at BCIAA Championships.
Anthony Engle placed 1st individually at the
Championships. The boys competed at District 3
Championships, and Anthony Engle and Ben Meister
qualified for the State Championship. Anthony Engle
placed 7th at the District Championships.
Girls Cross Country finished their regular season 13-5.
They placed 3rd as a team at the BCIAA Championships.
The girls competed in District 3 Championships and
placed 6th as a team! Laura Posh qualified for the State
Championships!
Field Hockey finished 1st in the BCIAA League 2nd
Division with a record of 11-7. (they are currently in
BCIAA playoffs). Field Hockey plays on Wednesday,
November 2, in the semifinals of the District 3 playoffs.
They qualified for the PIAA State Championship which
starts on November 8.
Football is looking forward to District 3 playoffs. They will
have a home game on November 11 at 7:00pm vs. Milton
Hershey.
Golf had a great season with 2 of their athletes advancing
to District 3 Championships, and both making the cut for
day 2. Those athletes are Maddie Morgan and Shayne
OβDoherty.
Girls Soccer ended their regular season 11-5-1 and made it
to BCIAA playoffs. Unfortunately, they lost to Fleetwood in
the first round. The girls are competing in the District 3
Championships and compete today in the District 3
semifinals.
Girls Tennis ended their season 3-12 but had two athletes
advance to BCIAA Doubles Semi-Finals. Lauren and Becca
Goldman!
Girls Volleyball came in second in the BCIAA tournament.
They are in District 3 playoffs and compete Tuesday in the
Semifinals at Twin Valley at 7pm.
Twin Valley Field Hockey, Girls Soccer, Volleyball and
Football all advanced to the District 3 Championships.
Our middle school sports are having great seasons, most
of which are ending this week or next.
The Boys and Girls
soccer teams are having a middle school prom on
November 4 at 5pm. on the HS turf. This is where the
athletes dress up and play against each other.
We are looking forward to winter sports which start
November 18! Athletes interested in playing a winter sport
should reach out to the coach (contact information is on
the Athletics website) and fill out the paper work on
Planet HS (information also on the Athletics website).
