The 2024 game schedule for 15U baseball has been posted on our website. The schedule includes information on game start time, as well as, addresses to all the locations we travel. Also updated on the website, 15U roster (including coach contact info) with player numbers, and the rules for the Gratiot League.

OE Middle School baseball evaluations will take place this afternoon at 4:30 on the varsity baseball field. The team will consist of 7th and 8th graders. If your son did not sign-up at school, but has decided they would like to tryout, we encourage them to attend. If you have questions don’t hesitate to message us.

We are excited to announce Middle School baseball is coming to Ovid-Elsie this year. Along with that Big Reds will have a summer league team that will play once the school season ends. Stay tuned for more details. Don’t hesitate to message us if you have any questions.

MARAUDER YOUTH BASEBALL SKILLS ASSESSMENT
March 9
High School Aux Gym
8U and 10U from 6:00-7:00 PM
12U from 7:00-8:00 PM

This is a baseball only skills assessment for the 8U, 10U, and 12U baseball players registered with Marauder Youth Baseball. An assessment will provide a baseline on player skill level heading into the 2023 season. Information collected will be used to divide teams and determine divisions they play in. While this is not mandatory, participation is HIGHLY encouraged. Players will need their baseball glove and a bat if they have one. DO NOT wear cleats. Cleats will damage the gym floor. With the announcement of the merger between Big Reds and OEYBS we are getting a lot of questions regarding sign-ups (how, where, and when). The sign-up scheduled for January 15th in-person will be rescheduled for a later date. The newly formed board is taking the opportunity to set a course of action together. Thank you for being patient as we work through some of these transition items.

In a joint effort to consolidate recreation youth baseball and softball in the community starting this season, we are happy to announce the newly formed Marauders Youth Baseball and Softball.

Marauders Youth Baseball and Softball will bring together a blend of the great aspects from Big Reds Baseball and Ovid-Elsie Youth Baseball and Softball offered under a single organization. Having a single entity collaborating with the High School programs will pay dividends for all involved.

Separate travel baseball and softball offerings will still available through Big Reds Baseball. We ask that everyone please be patient as we work through the nuances of this merger. Stay tuned for more details.
