Thank you to those who attended the Lions Cub Tales program. 📚 🦁💙💛

Today’s topic and children’s book focused on Fighting Germs. 💪🦠Germs are all around us, but they are too small to see. It’s important to wash our hands with soap and water after we use the restroom or touch something dirty. 🧼 Using hand sanitizer throughout the day is a good idea, too. Let’s also try not to put our fingers in our mouths, because we introduce germs that way. If we need to sneeze or cough, it’s best to do so in a tissue or our elbow. There are many ways to fight germs. Let’s all do what we can to stay healthy. The children enjoyed dance songs and colored a hand-washing themed coloring page. 🖍️

Thank you to the City of Edcouch, the Sgt. Juan Rodriquez Community Center, the Busy Bee Beehive Learning Center, and everyone who continues to support this special program each week! The Delta Area Lions Club wants to continue to give back to this community in meaningful ways.

Join us next Thursday, on October 15, 2026, for another fun and educational Lions Cub Tales. Open to the public at no cost! Hope to see you there.

Today’s topic and children’s book focused on Family Diversity. 👨‍🦳👩‍🦳👩‍🦱👩‍🦰👨👧👶 What is a family? All over the world are unique groups of people who love, protect, and care for each other. Families occur in all manners of structure, circumstance, and connection. Families strive for the love, support, and happiness of each other. Although most families are very different from each other, they all share emotional bonds that are strong and meaningful. Sometimes people are born into families, and other times families are found. Either way, a family is love. The children enjoyed dance songs and colored a family themed coloring page.

Today’s topic and children’s book focused on Personal Fashion and Style. 🧥👖👗 We discussed what Fashion and Personal Style is and how we all dress differently. It is important to be confident and comfortable in the clothes we choose to wear. We send messages to the people around us by what we wear and how we wear it. It is wonderful to have the power to choose what to wear and we feel great when we are happy with how we look. The children enjoyed dance songs, crafted sticker faces, and colored a fashion themed coloring page.

Today’s topic and children’s book focused on Additive Sequence within a silly ABC story. We discussed what Additive Sequence is and how we can notice it throughout the day. With sequencing we can learn to predict patterns in the world around us and place things in a logical order. We can use additive sequence for problem solving and forward thinking. The children enjoyed dance songs and colored a numbered 1-5 additive sequence themed coloring page.
