Join us this Thursday afternoon on June 25th at the City of Edcouch Health Fair. The Delta Area and Donna Lions Clubs will be teaming up to provide free children's vision screenings to the public. 🦁

Come to our booth and chat with us about what it is to be a Lion in the Delta Area. Children will also receive complimentary coloring pages. Stop by and say hello. 👋

Thank you to those who attended Lions Cub Tales. 🦁💛💙

Today’s topic and children’s book focused on Future Career Possibilities. We discussed what a career is and the different types of careers one may choose in life. Each person has different talents to offer the world. It is important to choose a career that showcases our talents and helps make the world a better place.

The children enjoyed dance songs, and colored a career themed coloring page.

A special thank you to the Sgt. Juan Rodriguez Community Center and EEISD for providing free lunches for the children. They really enjoyed the cheeseburgers. Thank you to everyone who continues to support this special program each week!

The Delta Area Lions Club wants to continue to give back to this community in meaningful ways.

The Delta Area Lions Club is proud to present Lions Crafting Fun - Summer Youth Program, a no cost service project offered to children aged 6 and over, with the goal of offering fun Summertime learning activities and crafts. 🦁💛

Available to the public. Parent/Guardian must attend with their children.

This three-week summer program will be held once a week.

Lions Cub Tales is open to the public at no cost. Children aged 1-5 are welcome to attend the fun.

Today’s topic and children’s book focused on Self-Discovery. We discussed what self-discovery is and how beneficial it is to find our talents and true self. Each person is a unique being that has something different to offer the world. The children enjoyed creative dance, and crafted G for Giraffe with construction paper.

Yesterday, a local Elsa family experienced a devastating house fire that left them displaced and in need of assistance.

With the family’s permission, the Elsa Fire Department is coordinating donation efforts to help them begin rebuilding and recover from this unexpected loss.

We are accepting clothing donations, household essentials, non-perishable food, toiletries, and blankets.

To round out Mental Health Awareness month, today’s topic focused on Laughter. We discussed the importance and benefits of laughter and how each person has a unique laugh to share with the world. Laughter is contagious, so let’s all release some feel-good endorphins with a good laugh! 😂🤣

Thank you to those who attended Lions Cub Tales this week. 🦁

In line with the month’s theme of Mental Health Awareness, our topic focused on Overcoming Anxiety. We discussed what Anxiety is, how it makes us feel, and how to move past the feeling with breathing exercises.

The children practiced breathing techniques and “blowing away Anxiety”, with interactive song activities. 🌬️

Our Thursdays are always a great time at the Edcouch Community Center. Come join us for a fun and educational outing with your little one. Ages 1-5 welcome at no cost. Hope to see you there.
