Every year we get hundreds of babies pruned from trees... every year I put up hundreds of posts saying please don't prune during nursing season. So here's another one for everybody to share. We have about eight more weeks until it's possibly safe to prune. Please share with your neighbors.

Oh, look, the water is becoming more toxic... animals are dying. Anyone suprised?

Since the City I live in is creating more stinknet problems with their forced vegetation removals it's probably a good idea we all learn about the expense and extra work you'll have to do in the future to try and control this problematic plant.

Burning helps the problem seed germinate and creates toxic smoke so... please don't do that.

Best to remove when plant is green before it seeds.

In a few days, this will be nothing but dead plants and dust. Nobody from the city of Eloy will return my phone calls. Other people have wrote in and they refused to respond to them as well. Why do we have people working in our government organizations that won't respond to the community members meanwhile, they keep killing our Wildlife neighbors. There's a data Center proposed within a few miles from my house. There's a plastic recycling facility that that's really just going to burn plastic trash for energy right next to my house... and the little bit of native vegetation they have left supporting Wildlife they are forcing people to remove or be fined.communities of void of plants and biodiversity is known to have increased crime rates, increased diseases, more mental health issues. In all honesty, that's exactly what we're seeing as these removals happen over the past few years since this has started.

PSA - i'm here because I care not because I'm making lots of money. I'm here because I'm trying to raise awareness and help build better eco-friendly sustainable communities. I deal with injured Wildlife so I see death and suffering on a daily basis. I will try to help the best I can, but once somebody threatens me, I definitely lose my cool. I'm just human. I just care. I hope this encourages more people to volunteer. We need more community advocates so rescuers don't get burned out dealing with jerks that threatened us if we don't help fast enough.

The more we can integrate, Wildlife biodiversity into our daily activities the less chemical dependent, we will be as a community. This holds through throughout rural farming communities and residential areas. Save space for habitat because whatever happens to the animals eventually will happen to us.

If you live in rural Eloy this is the plant blooming in the water retention area right now.

It's a beneficial pollinator that needs little to no maintnance.

On top of it being green and flowering when we haven't had rain in months.... it's also a pollinator and has lots of moths and butterflies that make walks more enjoyable.

Please help preserve this species in town. It also helps nesting quail, bunnies, provides insect food for songbirds and nighthawks, and the more we rip it out the more problem plant and insect species move in.

Burrowweed (Isocoma tenuisecta) is beneficial for people and wildlife. These are shrubs, usually about 2-3’ tall, with very nectar rich, golden flowers occurring in fall. Flowers are followed by floofy material with seeds. Though the plants can look unruly when not flowering, they are fantastic when in bloom and an important wildlife plant.

Plant in full to part sun, low water when established. Most species hardy to at least 10°F.

This is an important fall blooming nectar source for numerous butterflies, bees, and other pollinators. Larval host for the Gumweed Plume Moth (Dejongia californicus), the snout moth Diastictis sperryorum, the American Sunflower Moth (Homoeosoma electella), and the Snakeweed Borer Moth (Pelochrista ridingsana). Birds use the floofy seed stuff to build nests.

Important medicinal plant (used internally and externally) where the genus occurs.

Isocoma tenuisecta is the most common species found around Tucson and Phoenix. Naturally found on dry slopes, mesas, and alluvial plains from 2,000-5,500’.

Maybe one day I'll get her to bloom until climb up this Mesquite to the biggest night blooming cerris in the world... and I probably butchered the spelling and might even have the plant species wrong but either way I'm happy that this is still alive. Thanks!
