The Elmwood Business Women's Association (EBW) of Elmwood, Illiniois is a nonsectarian, nonpartisan and nonprofit organization whose objectives are to elevate the standards and promote interests for women in business and the professions; also, to bring about a spirit of cooperation among business and professional women of the community; and, to support community activities and educational advancement. One of our primary goals is awarding scholarships to local individuals.

This Monday Elmwood Business Women Association gathers for their monthly meeting. We expect this meeting will be filled with holiday cheer and maybe a couple reindeer games. Members will bring in canned foods to support the stuff a bus initiative. We are all thankful to be in a giving place. Our Association donates money to the grade and high school for students who may have unmet needs.

The annual Trivia Night was held in April this year. Players from near and far came to play trivia for the grand prize. EBW raised $1600 on the night and present the Proceeds to the Elmwood Industrial Arts Program.

Congratulations to the 2024 EBW Scholarship Awardees. 5 Elmwood High School students were awarded scholarships at the ECHS Senior Day. President Theresa Cisel announced the awardees at that event. Two of the five candidates joined us for dinner with their families at our Scholarship dinner. We wish all the awardees great success in their continuing education and careers. We invite them back as members someday. Good Luck ladies!

Elmwood Business Women hold their annual installation of officers ceremony. Carol Trotter stepped down as the organization’s Secretary and Julie Davis will take her place. President Theresa Cisel, VP Kim Dray and Treasurer Joyce Letko will stay in their roles for another year. We thank them all for their service to our organization.
