The taste of an Alabama Thanksgiving starts here!

Sweet Grown Alabama is partnering with the Alabama Fruit & Vegetable Growers Association and Boozer Farms to bring you the Sweet Grown Alabama Thanksgiving Collection, a box filled with the flavors of local from EIGHT Alabama farms.

For $50, each box includes sweet potatoes, apples, satsumas, pumpkin, pecans, cornmeal, broccoli and seasonal jelly. Everything you need to add a little more Alabama to your Thanksgiving table!

Opening weekend, pumpkin patch edition. 🍂

Hay bale glam. Alpacas with better hair than us. Painted rocks, tire swing ponies, face paint, and a sunset that showed up like it had been invited.

Okay, can we talk about Village Green Park for a sec? 🍂

We ended up in Millbrook this morning, and I'm not even being dramatic when I say that City of Millbrook Special Events outdoes themselves every single year. Pumpkins everywhere. Little felt scarecrows hugging the trees. A skeleton just hanging out like he pays rent there. 💀

My two took off under that big Millbrook sign like they owned the place (one of them dropped their shoes immediately, because why not?), and honestly? I let them. The walking trail is clean, wide, shady, and easy with a stroller, and the arched bridges over the water became their favorite thing in about four seconds. We crossed it roughly eleven times.

If you've got little ones and a free morning, this is your sign. Grab a coffee, pack the snacks, and go before it gets busy. Cool fall mornings with toddlers don't need to be a whole production. Sometimes a trail, some pumpkins, and a little fresh air is the whole vibe. ✨

Big things are coming to Landsby, and our web and socials are about to look a little different. 🌻

We’re partnering with local farmers, professionals, school faculty, and moms just like you to build a one-stop shop for all things momming in the River Region.

Think 150+ local resources, a community calendar that syncs right to your phone, and real guides for whatever season of motherhood you’re actually in.

And because motherhood somehow includes knowing where to find a pediatric dentist, what’s happening this weekend, and occasionally explaining to your child that strawberries do not actually come from Publix, we’re bringing local agriculture into the mix too. 🍓

Through Sow Local, Grow Local, and in collaboration with Sweet Grown Alabama, we’re introducing local families to the farmers, growers, beekeepers, livestock producers, flower farms, homesteads, and agricultural producers behind the food and goods being grown right here in Alabama.

Throughout the year, we’ll be sharing little behind-the-scenes looks at what’s growing, being raised, harvested, and produced close to home.

For moms, it means an easier way to discover local farms, teach our kids where their food actually comes from, and put a face to the people feeding our communities.

For farmers and producers, it’s your chance to show families what you do without needing a sales pitch, fancy camera setup, or perfectly curated reel. Just your farm, your knowledge, and your way of doing things.

Make five videos with us and we’ll add your farm as an official Sow Local, Grow Local partner. Consider this our friendship bracelet. ✨

Raising Tomorrow is officially getting started in Millbrook 🧡

This week, Landsby Collective delivered more than 200 Raising Tomorrow QR codes to Millbrook schools for administrators to begin sharing with faculty and staff as time allows.

The process is simple: when a teacher, counselor, coach or other school staff member notices that a student may need an everyday essential, like clothing, shoes, hygiene items or school supplies, they can discreetly send a request to Landsby. No student names or identifying information are shared publicly.

Parents and guardians can also request assistance directly through our Request for Assistance form.

Right now, we’re working through the district-level process needed to expand Raising Tomorrow throughout Elmore County. That includes the necessary paperwork, conversations and approvals that help make sure the program is handled safely and responsibly. We want to grow this the right way, not just the fast way.

Millbrook parents, this is where we need you.

We’ve created a private Facebook group specifically for Millbrook school parents where appropriate needs can be shared with the community without identifying the student.

A big part of Raising Tomorrow is keeping the program low-waste and practical. If your child has outgrown a good jacket, pair of shoes or clothing item, that may be exactly what another local student needs. When we can safely fulfill a request through community donations, we can save program funds for needs that have to be purchased.

Eventually, we’d love to build our own little app and make this whole thing even smoother. For now? QR codes and Facebook. We’re making it work with what we’ve got! 😂
