May was full of sunshine, some rain too, community, and KEEN joy 💜.

We loved gathering with our families for our Mother’s Day Picnic and spending time with the community at Outdoors for Autism. From shared meals and sweet moments to outdoor fun and connection, we’re grateful for every athlete, family member, volunteer, and partner who made these events so special.

Thank you for continuing to show up with care, playfulness, and love. We’re excited for more moments together this next month!

Outdoors for Autism is tomorrow! 💜🌿

Join KEEN New York in the Bronx for an afternoon of movement, creativity, and community. We’ll have football, running, and yoga obstacle courses, an art station, and a rainbow sensory parachute for athletes and families to enjoy.

Online registration is now closed, but you can still register in person at the event.

We’re thrilled to share that Jazzy Smith has been named Executive Director of KEEN New York! 💜

Many of you already know Jazzy through her work as Interim Executive Director and Senior Program Coordinator, where she has led KEEN with care, clarity, and deep commitment during a meaningful period of growth and transition.

Jazzy brings over 10 years of experience in nonprofit leadership, program development, fundraising, operations, community building, and equity-centered work. She is also a writer, filmmaker, and longtime advocate for creating spaces where people feel seen, supported, and valued.

As Executive Director, Jazzy will lead KEEN New York into its next chapter, with a focus on expanding access to programming, strengthening the systems that support families and volunteers, and ensuring KEEN can continue growing with care and sustainability.

Jazzy will continue working closely with Nakeem, who remains KEEN New York’s Program Coordinator and an important part of the team supporting our athletes, families, coaches, and volunteers.

Her leadership is grounded in the belief that joy, access, belonging, and community care should be available to every young person and every family we serve.

What an incredible night!! 💙🧡

Today the KEEN team is resting, reflecting, and feeling so grateful for the amazing community that showed up for us at the New York Islanders game.

A huge thank you to the team, especially Steven and Theo, for welcoming us and giving KEEN the opportunity to have our mission featured and supported in such a meaningful way. Thank you for seeing the vision and helping make the evening so special.

Thank you to everyone who bought tickets, whether you came to enjoy the game or made it possible for one of our athletes and their family members to attend. Your support truly helped make the night what it was.

Thank you to our Board, Associate Board, KEEN families, athletes, and everyone who stopped by our table to learn more, sign up for updates, and spin the wheel for prizes. This event was powered by so much generosity, care, and community.

Every ticket to our April 3rd Islanders Neurodiversity Night at UBS Arena helps us keep it that way — free, inclusive, one-on-one programs for NYC youth with disabilities, all year long.
