Nurse-Family Partnership - Provides maternal and child health services to people in Chemung County in their first pregnancy (with some exceptions) who are less than 29 weeks gestation at time of enrollment. Clients have access to a registered nurse who can provide health care guidance and education during pregnancy until their chi
ld reaches 2 years of age. Healthy Families Chemung County - Serves pregnant people or those who enroll before their infant turns 3 months of age until the child turns 5 years or enters school. The aim is to support families, enhance parent- child interactions and provide parents with information on brain development, nutrition, bonding, and safety. Early Childhood Services Team - Performs developmental screens on toddlers and preschool-aged children, including vision, hearing, speech, fine motor, gross motor and social development. Serves all families living in Chemung County with a child under the age of 5 years. Refers children for evaluation as necessary. School Readiness Project - An initiative to ensure that children arrive at school socially, developmentally, physically, and emotionally ready to learn. Enrolls children living in Chemung County any time between birth and 4 years of age. Provides child developmental screens, and education for parents on health, nutrition, literacy and other topics related to health and welfare of young children. First 1000 Days - A pilot program which focuses on pregnant people, and families with children under the age of 3 years to improve the physical, social, and emotional needs of children and enhance their school readiness. Also, support pregnant people through their pregnancy and reduce barriers to appropriate services.
