Dear Friends of the Foundation,
I hope this message finds you well. I'm happy to share that Zachary is doing great and living large in Florida...hard stop...what? For those unaware, we moved to Florida in May. Zachary aged out of his school in Illinois, and we struggled to find a quality adult program for him to transition for the next stage of his life. In a divine way, Debbie was presented a job opportunity in Florida, and we were introduced to The Haven - an adult day program in Sarasota Florida. Located on 32 acres, The Haven, provides a mix of academic and life skills training including a pool for cooling off on hot summer days.
With these changes, comes a change to One Small Voice Foundation. Please accept this message as our official notice the One Small Voice Foundation will dissolve effective immediately as an official 501c3 organization. This is bittersweet as we have enjoyed the journey with all of you, but it is time for us to focus on new adventures and caring for Zachary as he moves into adulthood.
On behalf of the Katzbeck Family, we want to thank you for being part of the One Small Voice Foundation. From your donations to prayers, you have all helped encourage us over the past 22 years to make a difference. Raising over $665,000 you have all been directly responsible for supporting research, education and giving hope to those with Hydrocephalus and Optic Nerve Hypoplasia. From 5k walks/runs, Annual Appeals, Christmas of Hope, River Shiver, Open Toe Shoe Party, Love is Blind, Golf outings and book sales, donations went toward helping improve the lives of children with Hydrocephalus and Optic Nerve Hypoplasia.
In addition to the financial support of several thousand donors over the years, we could not have accomplished what we did without the support of many Volunteers and former Board Members and Junior Board who showed up early and stayed late at many events. Special thanks also goes out to the current Board of Directors for their long-term commitment to the One Small Voice mission: Sharon Weltin, Dick Weltin, Diana Brown, Diana Siranovic, Chris Fitzgerald and Bob Tucibat.
So it is with a heartfelt thanks that we extend, one we can never repay you, for all the love and support you have given to our family and the One Small Voice Foundation. We are unsure what the future holds but we know the One who holds it...may God bless you all.
Sincerely,
Debbie, Kevin, Zachary and Benjamin
