Elmhurst Model RailRoad Club EMRRC is a family oriented HO, HOn3, and N scale model railroad club in Elmhurst, IL, west of Chicago. Visit us on the web too at http://www.emrrc.net!

EMRRC is a club of model railroaders in HO, HOn3 and N scales. Supporting two open houses each week, members are able to run trains 6 of the 7 nights of the week, with the 7th (Tuesday) being the layout maintenance / upgrade / work night.

Tuesday work night wrap up. The crew keeps plugging away at maintenance & improvement.
Activities included: track cleaning, track painting in the steel mill area, static grass application in several spots, continued urban planning in the city station are on the N-scale layout and ongoing tracking, documentation and revisions of our wiring that supports DC and DCC operations on the HO layout.

Good progress on work night on 5/5/26.
A variety of projects completed or in progress.

Completed were replacement of a highly used mainline switch machine, figuring out another failed switch machine was just a broken wire (whew), jumper wire repair on a yard switch and final touches on a hand car shed & track.

Things continuing are a refresh of scenery in block 8/9, addition of scenery in the West Burlington engine facility, track painting in the steel mill area, continued CSI on an electrical gremlin that revealed a super toasty relay and wires (yikes) and additional scenery repair and updates.

A good night of progress.

Busy few days with our swap meet on 5/2.
Thanks to everyone who came out to buy & sell at the swap. It was greatly appreciated.
Our next swap on 9/12/26 is in a new, nearby location. All on one level, easy access and one big room! Look for more details as we get closer to the date.
