🎉 We’re thrilled to welcome three incredible leaders to the SAYA Board of Directors!

Saima Chowdhury is the Founder & CEO of Noi Solutions and Grey State, a sustainable women’s fashion brand. With a career spanning Ernst & Young, Nike, and Victoria’s Secret — and an MBA from Wharton — she brings deep expertise in supply chain, ethical manufacturing, and entrepreneurship. We’re so glad to have her vision and perspective in our corner.

Ramya Ravishankar is Vice President and Senior Counsel at American Express, where she advises on complex legal and strategic matters. She began her career at Skadden Arps as a regulatory enforcement lawyer and has also spent time with mission-driven organizations like Human Rights Watch and the Legal Aid Society of New York. Ramya joins the SAYA board with a deep commitment to expanding educational opportunities for NYC youth: she’s been a part of our community since 2014, first as a volunteer tutor, and then as a junior board member and loyal supporter. Truly full circle! 🙌

Tanya Saxena is Partner at Civetta Hospitality, where she has built and scaled restaurant operations and grown an events business. A Brown University alum with roots in mentorship and youth programming, Tanya has been a familiar face at SAYA for years — and we couldn’t be more excited to make it official.

Together, they bring expertise in law, finance, entrepreneurship, and hospitality — and a shared commitment to our young people. Welcome to the SAYA family! 💙

From Queens to the Capitol

Follow SAYA staff members, Seema and Dedunu as they head to Albany for Advocacy Day as part of the AAPI Equity Budget Coalition. This year, we’re advocating for $54.35 million to ensure AAPI New Yorkers across the state have equitable access to the resources, services, and opportunities our communities deserve.

Advocacy Day is more than meetings — it’s about uplifting community voices, sharing lived experiences, and pushing for real investment in equity.
