The Elmhurst Cycling Classic held its annual bicycle race on June 4th, raising funds for people in need and the charities that serve them. UCCA is grateful to have been selected as a recipient of their generous donation, helping to allow us to continue to serve Elmhurst families! 🚲🏁

UCCA has picked Bryan Middle School teacher, Heather Bolur, as our UCCA Mary Jo Corbett Spirit of Volunteerism Award winner as a Friend of UCCA. This award, named after a current member, former social worker for D205 and also founding member of our organization, is presented each year to dedicated UCCA volunteers who contribute untold hours and efforts toward UCCA’s mission of fighting hunger among Elmhurst School District 205 students and their families. They support UCCA through their caring actions, above and beyond what would be normally expected, helping to strengthen UCCCA’s mission in our community. Although each D205 school participates in our Holiday Food Drive, Bryan Middle School, with Heather leading the food drive, always collects an enormous amount of food, which is outstanding (and a model we wish we could replicate in other buildings). Congratulations, Heather! Well deserved
