🙏🙏 Words cannot capture how much Waypoint church loves our Knicks-loving pastor, Arthur! Pastor Appreciation Day was the perfect opportunity to show him just how much. We are so grateful for how he cares deeply for our church and neighborhood, and always points us to Jesus. He is kind, humble, patient, honest, and also fun to be around! He is such a gift to us!

🍁📖 Our Bible study facilitators are ready for tomorrow night (10/8) -- the kickoff of our Fall Bible Study on the book of 1 John! Bring your dinner, bible, and a friend!

🕢Doors open at 7pm and we start at 7:30pm.
📖There will be teaching in a large group format and then breakout discussion in small groups. SEE YA THERE!!!

This past Sunday we got to gather after service to look at our church finances and celebrate all that God has done and is continuing to do at Waypoint and in Elmhurst. We are so thankful for our church family for walking together faithfully through the ups and downs of church planting, and especially through our recent move, which was no small change!

The best part about our finance reviews is always getting to pray together afterwards! May God’s will be done at Waypoint and in Elmhurst, all for His glory.

🍋 A fruitful weekend with Chuck DeGroat & Queens Connexus as we learned how to identify unhealth in our personal lives, leadership, and church culture. It was so encouraging to meet different ministry leaders from Queens (and beyond) and hear what God is doing in dismantling broken patterns and giving leaders a desire to create safe spaces where people can flourish. 🍋

We had a great time distributing backpacks and meeting the families in our neighborhood! We were able to distribute 150 bookbags and will be sending 50 more to Elm Charter School this week. Praying for a wonderful school year for every child in Elmhurst!

🙌Please welcome Pastor Tim Widjaja (Timothy Widjaja) of Cornerstone Church! He will be guest preaching at our 5pm service this Sunday, August 2nd. A bit about Tim:
Tim is married to his high school sweetheart, Amanda, and they’ve been blessed with a beautiful daughter, Zoe! He leads Cornerstone Church in Elmhurst, on Whitney Ave and Judge Street. He loves Jesus and His church, his wife and baby, and fishing! 🎣
