Village trustee monthly meeting is tomorrow night 7/28 at 7pm. the Public can speak during the beginning of the meeting. Item #4.

If you are a pathway supporter and/or a Tonawanda Elementary School or St Mary’s family that can speak to how the recently completed pathways have affected your daily walking and biking activities or how it has affected your children’s independence for travel to and from school, the park, friends homes etc. I encourage you to share and speak during public comment and/or write emails to the Village trustees encouraging Hollyhock pathway engineering and completion in 2027 instead of waiting till 2028.

The Pathways on Juneau, Underwood Creek Parkway and Gremoor have demonstrated ‘if you built it’ they will come’. The pathways and sidewalk are used multiple times daily by residents young and old. The safety afforded to pedestrians and bikers with these completed off road pathway has made a huge difference in people walking, running and biking at all times of day and appears to have increased kids biking and walking to school last year as well.

Highland was completed in full because residents were vocal, showed up at meetings and sent emails to the Village manager indicating that after almost 40 years of waiting it’s past time to connect residents via a completed pathway system. Residents desire walkability to the amenities in our community including Schools, The Park, Pool, Library, Village Hall, Downtown, Neighbors and Friends.
