A warm welcome to Sunday Society , now open in downtown Ellsworth 🤍 We stopped in today to meet Bre, hear her vision and see the gorgeous new space she has created as a place to slow down, reset and connect with community.

Classes are already underway, with several morning sessions filling up! If you’ve been curious, the evening classes could use a little love, and two welcoming events this month offer an easy way to experience what this small biz is all about.

While their website has experienced a few early hiccups, they are very much open and operating. Their upcoming grand opening is another chance to step inside, explore the space and discover a new downtown offering.

We were so happy when the Camden National Bank team reached back out to spend their company-wide Community Well-being Day with us again! On September 9, their employees will join our Design Committee for another afternoon of giving downtown some much-deserved love 🫶

A major part of this year’s cleanup will be bringing fall color to Main Street with 30 mums. Because the bridge flower boxes are still thriving (seriously, have they ever looked this good?), we’re keeping the beautiful grasses and adding mums around them. More mums will refresh Heart of Ellsworth’s downtown planters and the Franklin Street Parklet while volunteers tackle weeds along State, Water and Main Streets.

Heart of Ellsworth is happy to make seasonal beautification projects like this happen for everyone to enjoy. A $10 donation helps us purchase one mum, while gifts of any size support the plants, tools and year-round work that allow us to keep showing up for downtown in every season.

Well, look what we found in Down East Magazine Magazine 👀

Maine Craft Weekend is a statewide invitation to discover Maine through its makers, with open studios, demonstrations, exhibitions and hands-on experiences happening across the state.

Here in one of this year’s Featured Cities, we’re planning quickly as Art of Ellsworth: Maine Craft Weekend sneaks up on us! Save the dates for October 1–4 and join us downtown for four days of craft, culture and community, with special attention to stone, sculpture and the creative process behind public art.

Not every Promotions Committee meeting comes with a cider tasting, but August's meeting on Tuesday’s did 🍎🥂

Jon Stein invited our volunteers to Fogtown Brewing Company to celebrate our new collaboration: as of August 1, 5% of Fogtown’s Table Cider sales supports Heart of Ellsworth.
