We are honored this morning to have Pastor Bob Teters joining us this morning and giving us a message from God’s Word!

When was the last time you were amazed with God… or with Jesus… or with the Holy Spirit?

If it’s been a while and you can’t think of the last time that you’ve been amazed with God I can promise you: God is not the problem. God hasn’t become any less amazing.

So the problem must be YOU... and what you’ve chosen to focus on… and your expectations of God that aren’t biblical or realistic.

Be amazed by God today!

Do you recognize Jesus' authority?

Throughout scripture, you read about people calling Jesus stuff like: Lord… or Master… or Teacher… or simply Rabbi.

But notice how this evil spirit addressed Jesus. It said, “I know who you are… the Holy One of God!” (Mark 1:24, NLT)

It recognized… Jesus’ divinity. It recognized Jesus’ total and complete authority.

Do you?

When believers see and experience Jesus’ ultimate authority over all things physical and spiritual, they should be amazed.

The response we see from Peter, Andrew, James, and John was an immediate response of sacrificial, total, complete obedience.

NOTICE: not one of them said, “Well, Jesus, if you promise to do this for me… then I’ll follow.” THERE WAS NONE OF THAT!

Jesus simply said, “Hey! Will you go all in? Will you give up what you know? Will you give up what you’re comfortable with? Will you give up all that you have and follow me?"

And they immediately said, “Yes. Let’s go!”

They changed their priorities. They changed their livelihoods. They responded... IMMEDIATELY... and so should we!

After someone decides to believe in Jesus as the Messiah, they must then follow Jesus’ call to discipleship with total, sacrificial, and immediate obedience.

After Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist and tested by Satan in the desert, His public ministry immediately began with Him inviting everyone to turn around and trust the Good News.

Mark tells us that John the Baptist came to prepare the way for Jesus the Messiah, the Son of God, who was, and is, greater than John in every way.
