Happy Wednesday Division 1!

We need your help. Please go into your AFSA account and verify your profiles are up to date. Especially addresses, phone numbers and emails.

Your executive council is working their way through the chapter rosters to the best of our abilities so that we can send out notifications to the chapters.

If you are not seeing emails from AFSA HQ, check your junk mail. They send out emails weekly. If you are not seeing them at all, you may have at one time clicked a button that took HQs ability to email you away. This can be easily fixed by going to HQAFSA.ORG, scroll to the bottom of the main page to the Be Informed block and subscribe to the E-news letter and Military & Government Brief.

I have attached a picture as to why this is needed/helpful. This picture is of all the letters being sent out to 1 chapter due to no phone numbers or emails listed, or members who have taken themselves off the email list from HQs. This is 238 letters. We have already done this for 3 other chapters who are considered inactive due to not having an active chapter. This same chapter had over 500 members without emails. This can be a bit costly in supplies such as stamps, envelopes, paper, etc.

If you do not remember your login, you can reach out to HQs directly or to one of us on the division executive council and we can work with HQs to get you updated.

We are here to support you and your needs! Thank you for all that you do in your chapters and we hope to see as many of you as possible in Orlando in August at the Summit!

We are in the final stretch of our data collection to help gather data on how we can help improve childcare for our Division Chapters and beyond. We have the ability to narrow down data for each chapter and category, which can be shared with local installations for review. Your participation would help see what areas of childcare may need fine tuning or adjustment that can possibly be handled at the local level, with the overall data being used, to assist our potential legislative proposal.

If you have children, 12 and under, and currently serving or have spouses serving the military please participate. Even if you do not currently have issues or need specific relief.

We are also looking for members who have served in the last 4 years and during your time had childcare related experience you would like to share.

Division 3 at work on the Legislative front

https://www.facebook.com/share/1CY6smqWkC/

Today we met with Pettis County Eastern Commissioner Israel Baeza over lunch to discuss legislative priorities and advocacy efforts affecting Missouri’s military service members, veterans, and their families.

As we continue to advocate, educate, and legislate, these conversations help build relationships and advance initiatives that support those who wear the uniform and those who have already served.

We appreciate the opportunity to collaborate and continue moving important issues forward.

🇺🇸 Chapter Spotlight 🇺🇸
AFSA Chapter 881 proudly supported their local Veterans Home during the Day of Honor and Remembrance event.

Their chapter came together over multiple days for one purpose: to remember, serve, and recognize those who came before us.

Thank you for your service, partnership, and dedication to our veterans and their stories.
