We were deeply moved by Larry Madden who shared powerful stories and ancestral knowledge about the Native peoples who first called the Door Peninsula home.

From the waters of the Great Lakes to the sacred land beneath our feet, we were reminded that this place has always carried meaning, memory, and spirit.

Thank you, Larry, for helping us listen, learn, and remember.

Here's a chance to dig up some fun. This program is for the kiddos, but sounds like Crossroads at Big Creek will welcome learners of all ages, even if you're older than dirt!

Join one of our naturalists for some free family-oriented activities and nature exploration. Suitable for all ages, program topics range from glaciers and fossils to the insects and amphibians in our wetlands.

Thanks to everyone (more than 150 people) who attended one of GEO-DC's recent cave talks at NWTC in Sister Bay. Cave expert Gary Soule shed light on the peninsula's many sea caves, vadose (stream-formed) caves, and block-creep (fault-formed) caves. Backed by decades of experience and knowledge, Gary kept the crowds engaged with his tales of the underground.
