We wanted to share this information because we know a lot of our families see these pediatricians.
“Open letter to the Community from “Coppertop Pediatrics”
As many of you know, St Francis announced on December 18th that they were closing the Poplar Bluff Clinic and that they sold the “Coppertop” building. This was entirely unexpected and took us and the community by total surprise. Since then, we have been working diligently to ensure that the transition for patients is as smooth and seamless as possible. Some of the decisions are out of our hands, so please bear with us during this transition.
Our last day with St Francis is this Friday, January 23. The clinic will be closed for the following two weeks but Urgent Care will be open during that time. During that time, we will not be able to see any patients either in person or via telemedicine, call in refills/medications, order tests or provide any medical care. If you think you may run out of medication during those two weeks, please contact your pharmacy before Friday 1/23/26 to inquire about refill options.
If all goes as planned, we will re-open on February 9, in our same location, with the same staff but with a new employer, Missouri Highlands. Hopefully the only difference you will see is a new sign on the door and a new color of scrubs for our staff. We will have a new electronic medical records system, so we may be a little slower in the first few weeks as we are learning the new system.
We still do not have clear answers about MyChart access and phone service during the transition but will add that information as soon as it becomes available.
We remain dedicated to serving our pediatric patients and providing the best evidence based pediatric care as we have for the last 40 years.
