THERE WAS AN ACCIDENT AT THE PANTRY THIS MORNING AND A CAR RAN INTO THE CORNER OF OUR WAREHOUSE SO WE WILL BE CLOSED TODAY.
Please let everyone know who might have planned to get food that we will not be open today.

This week at the pantry---
A lady went out and purchased 480 lbs. of apples and delivered them to us. A young girl took some of her Christmas money and used it to buy foot to donate to us. The Cartecay/Oak Hill United Methodist church donated 147 lbs. of food. The Green Dragon Sports Tavern delivered a second load of canned goods from their continuing program of donate a can of food to the "Pantry" and get a free drink or wings.
A grandmother was leaving town today and made her son stop by at 1:00PM to make sure we got $150 in cash, before she left.
Where do we find these people???? I'll tell you, Gilmer County!! THANK YOU TO ALL THE GENEROUS PEOPLE TO SUPPORT THE PANTRY!

We are open tomorrow, 12/9/2020 to serve the people of Gilmer County from 9:30 to 12:45. If you are a Gilmer resident and need food, bring picture ID and proof of residency and we will be glad to help you.

A very generous Gilmer Citizen took her Christmas $$ and bought items to donate to help less fortunate Gilmer residents. A big thank you for the great example you set for other young people in our county! God Bless You for your generosity!!

Thanksgiving Week we gave food to 58 families, 140 adults, and 71 children (schools were closed). We gave out a total of 8,598 lbs. of food and 250 lbs of cleaning supplies.
The totals for November were 374 families, 843 adults, and 1453 children. We distributed 57,511 lbs. of food. Just 28.75 tons!
Your donations help us feed the hungry in Gilmer County. Thank you and Merry Christmas!!
