Today marks a significant milestone in our mission!
Tamil Chair Inc. has released the first and best documentary film on Thirukkural at the Washington Tamil Sangam Children Day Celebrations.
This documentary film was scripted and produced by Dr. R. Prabhakaran, the former President of Washington Tamil Sangam, who has authored several books about the Tirukkural. The film was directed by national award-winning filmmaker Amshan Kumar. Financial Support for making the film was provided by the Tamils of North America, led by Dr. Vijay Janakiraman, the President of Tamil Chair Inc.
Thirukkural is the ancient identity of the Tamils, who consider this ancient text of virtues and metaphysics as dearest to their hearts. We all know and appreciate that the Thirukkural is universal, secular, and relevant even today. However, we did not have the opportunity to convey the world in a language and style that they understand.
This is the first time a world-class documentary has been made in English and other languages. You can watch the English version on YouTube (link in the first comment). Please pass this on to our children to watch and share with their friends.
