Beyond The Badge Foundation Beyond The Badge... Instagram:

The ‘Beyond The Badge’ Foundation was created in 2017 by five Maryland police officers who came together with one common goal, to build relationships between law enforcement and the local community by making a difference in the lives of those in need. Specifically, the Foundation was created to promote and build strong relationships between the police and the local community, to provide support to law enforcement officers and their families who are in need of financial assistance, and to provide financial support to community members who have suffered a traumatic event. We intend to accomplish these goals by not only providing much needed financial assistance to citizens suffering various hardships, but by volunteering our time and energy in direct support of the community we are sworn to protect and serve.

BUNDLE UP WITH KINDNESS!

On behalf of Beyond The Badge:

Beyond The Badge Foundation is proud to once again participate in WHUR 96.3’s 24th Annual Winter Coat Drive!

Last year, with the incredible support of our community, we collected 150 brand-new coats for children in need. This year, we’re setting our goal even higher!

Can we surpass 150 coats? We believe we can!

As the temperatures drop, too many children face the winter without a warm coat. A simple donation can make a meaningful difference and help a child stay warm, comfortable, and cared for throughout the season.

We are collecting BRAND-NEW COATS FOR CHILDREN and invite our family, friends, supporters, and community partners to join us in making this year’s drive our biggest one yet.
150 coats was just the beginning. Let’s see how far we can go together!

Help Beyond The Badge Foundation spread warmth, kindness, and love this winter.
Donate a coat. Make a difference. Help us surpass 150!

Since 2006, the Kappa Community Development Foundation (non-profit) has raised money to fund programs and initiatives to assist DMV area families in need and provide young people with the guidance and resources needed to succeed. With 20-plus years of service, 11 philanthropic funds, 500 students mentored and supported with scholarships, and 500,000 people reached through the foundation’s outreach and events, the foundation still has much work to do. Each year, KCDF has its Scholarship Golf Fundraiser, and because of your generosity, KCDF raises money to support its mentoring and scholarship efforts. The theme of the July 2026 golf fundraiser is “Setting Our Future Leaders Up For Success.” This theme reminds us that simple, daily acts of proactive involvement, like mentoring programs, scholarships, or supporting a family member in need, can lead to healthier lives for each of us today and stronger, happier communities tomorrow.

Prizes for your normal 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place foursome, as well as longest drive male and female, and closest to the pin, but over the last 4 years the cups people are chasing are best ladies foursome, best D9 foursome, and Kappa Kup. Afterwards, we have a dope after-party from 5-midnight.
