‼️‼️URGENT ANNOUNCEMENT OF BOOSTER CLUB SABBATICAL‼️‼️
Are you the parent of a HoHS fall, winter, or spring athlete? Are you a HoHS coach?
FROM THE LIONS’ PRIDE BOARD:
Please see the attached letter or the email sent to all parents from HoHS for full details. Below is a (long but important) summary.
Last call for parents and coaches to show their support for LP by attending this Thursday’s membership meeting. The LP Board will be evaluating meeting attendance from coaches and parents, along with parent willingness to volunteer for committees for the remainder of this school year. If turnout and willingness is not sufficient then the LP Executive Board will have no choice but to look into putting the 501c3 into “sabbatical” status. This means all fundraising would immediately cease and the LP bank account would freeze. If this happens then LP will no longer be able to fund the requests of HoHS’s Athletic Department/Director for team tournament/entrance fees, equipment, uniforms, coaches trainings, etc.
We do not want to take this step, but we cannot keep LP afloat with no volunteers beyond the Board. We do want to thank those few who have routinely stepped up to help with concessions or the Arts & Craft Fair—your efforts don’t go unnoticed and we do appreciate you! We also thank those who have joined LP! Unfortunately we need more than just membership dues to keep LP running.
Please spread the word to all fall, winter, and spring parents of athletes. We support:
- All Allied Sports
- baseball
- basketball (boys & girls)
- cheerleading
- cross country (boys & girls)

We look forward to seeing you on Thursday, 6:30pm, in the HoHS cafeteria.
