We were so grateful for the opportunity to attend Governor Wes Moore's Buy Local Cookout last night! We even shared a bit with him about **e at the Shrine: A Festival for Little Portion Farm & Franciscan Center coming up this weekend.

We were also thankful for the opportunity to speak with Congresswoman Sarah Elfreth ( ) of Maryland's Third District about some of the ways we feel the federal government can support small, regenerative farms like ours and the communities living with food insecurity that we serve.

Thank you to all who joined us for Farm-to-Flame over the weekend! The night would not have been possible without a wonderful team of volunteers and our many guests, supporters, and sponsors. It was a beautiful evening of fellowship and celebration of this ministry and the many gifts we've been blessed with here on Little Portion Farm!

We would also like to especially thank our live fire cooks of for their culinary mastery over open flame.

Little Portion Farm is a ministry of the Franciscan Friars Conventual of the Our Lady of the Angels Province, and we were lucky to have Friars Rich Rome, Emmanuel Acquaye, and Paul Lininger with us for the evening.

Last week we were privileged to host Lakisha Little for her immersion week as she wraps up her studies in the Dignity Plates Culinary Academy at The Franciscan Center of Baltimore! Throughout the week, Lakisha helped on the farm and used farm tomatoes, onions, herbs, zucchini, and more to prepare a farm-to-table meal for our Thursday evening volunteers last week - a special treat for us!

Lakisha is graduating from the 16th Dignity Plates cohort! Join us in congratulating Lakisha and hoping she's back to cook for us again soon!

Thank you for joining us!

Yesterday, a group of our students volunteered at Little Portion Farm in Ellicott City. Little Portion Farm is a ministry of the Franciscan Friars Conventual dedicated to growing and providing fresh food for those in need throughout our community.
We are grateful to celebrate our fifth year partnering with this incredible program and proud of our students for living out our mission through service, compassion, and hard work.

We are so excited to announce that W**e at the Shrine will be on Saturday, October 10th from 1pm to 6pm at the The Shrine of St. Anthony

What this festival supports:
W**e at the Shrine is a unique event benefitting two wonderful organizations (Little Portion Farm and The Franciscan Center of Baltimore) working in collaboration to assist the most vulnerable in our community and to care for the earth.

This partnership allows us to provide thousands of pounds of fresh, local produce to those who are most in need, and often lack access to these foods. We believe that social, economic, and environmental health are deeply intertwined, which is why we are working together to provide economically disadvantaged individuals and families in Baltimore with healthy food grown in healthy soil.

Early Bird Ticket Prices are active from now until August 31st.
