CWV Charles Carroll Post 1961

CWV Charles Carroll Post 1961 Catholic War Veterans Charles Carroll Post 1961, recruiting in Central Maryland. We attend to Catholic Veteran's spiritual and earthly needs.

Permanently closed.

The Charles Carroll Post #1961 was chartered within the Maryland Department of the Catholic Ward Veterans of the USA, Inc in July of 2011. The Post already has a very effective “Cell Phones for Soldiers” collection project. Other Maryland posts are engaged in numerous activities. Naturally, they have crab feasts and oyster roasts. Veteran's Day is a special day of prayer and reflection withing our

parish churches. Some Posts are involved in support of seminarians who pledge to become military chaplains. Others sponsor Military Cadet programs for high school students. We have offered welcome home parties for active duty military returning from a tour of duty. In addition, art contests, spelling bees, basketball tournaments, etc., are held for grammar school students. We are always open to new ideas on how best to serve the Veterans and Military in our parishes. The Post recently participated in the CWV National Patriotic Poster Contest. Last fall we participated in the Veteran's Day Mass at St. Paul's in Ellicott City (see our cover photo above). Our next major event will be to sponsor a special Memorial Day Mass and Brunch in May. This is your personal invitation to attend our meetings or any of our events.
