Funeral Announcement

Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh.
Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un.
Indeed, to Allah we belong, and to Him we shall return.

It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of Shakir Sayed (22), a beloved son, brother, and member of our Bangladeshi community. Shakir was known as a kind, gentle, and caring young man. He is survived by his father, Abu Sayed, his mother, Hena Sayed, and his brother, Samir Sayed.

Shakir graduated from River Hill High School in Clarksville, MD, and later earned his Bachelor’s degree in Finance from The Ohio State University, Columbus, OH.

We are heartbroken by this loss. We ask Allah (SWT) to shower Shakir with His infinite mercy, compassion, and forgiveness, and to make his grave a place of light (نور) and peace.

Please keep Shakir and his family in your Duas. May Allah grant his loved ones Sabrun-Jameel (beautiful patience), strength, and comfort during this extremely difficult time.

Yesterday's Pizza distribution at the downtown Baltimore (6/14/2026) was sponsored by the Bangladeshi Association of America Inc. (BAAI). It is wonderful to receive the support from different organizations in our Food For Needy and other programs.

We usually only post about our Pizza distribution at the downtown Baltimore and DC location. But Alhamdulillah, every Sunday, different types of hot food boxes are arranged from multiple volunteers and vendors and they get distributed at different inner city Baltimore areas. We have some dedicated mosques and volunteers who take care of these distributions. Here is one of distribution volunteers, Br. Khalil from Masjid Jamaat al-Muslimeen at York Road Baltimore.

Eid Mubarak!

If you are looking to donate some of your Qurbani meat, you can donate it at the ICNA center at 1708 Whitehead Rd, Suite 101 Woodlawn, MD 21207. Like the last few years, we are again helping ICNA Relief in collection and distribution of Qurbani meat in the greater Baltimore area. You can drop off your meat today and tomorrow between 12:00pm to 4:00pm.
