Regrann from - Come Walk with us in the spirit of Unity and upliftment as we Walk Auburn Avenue from the Historic MLK Center for Non-Violence to the Butler Street YMCA. This route was chosen to highlight, to the young and old, the walk that a young Martin L. King, Jr. took as he walked from his birth home to the YMCA. This short but powerful walk, displayed some of the best in Black achievements during 1930’s and 1940’s, including 3 historical churches, Masonic Lodge & theatre and an array of Black Professionals. It help to the mind of a young Martin to fight for equality of American’s Negro citizens. The Board of Butler Street CDC and FCE Entertainment invite you to join us, bring along your family and friends, to this Walk of greatness from the MLK Center to Butler Street YMCA. This is the initiative of the Butler CDC to bring back families living and working on Auburn Avenue with affordable housing, retail shops through their property development efforts.
